I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. I wasnt that impressed; however I wasnt disappointed. We were off to shop at 2; got to leave work early; thats always nice.

Neglected

So, I realize it has been awhile since I have posted and updated this bad mamma jamma.

Well, lately we have been just enjoying ourselves and relaxing at home. We are quite boring let me tell ya; this could be why I have neglected my blog. We go to be early, wake up early, work hard, hang out and watch movies; then repeat. I enjoy it. Life has been good. Work is finally offering me some awesome oppurtunities, I am looking forward to that.

We are very ready for Thanksgiving. This year RJ and I are bringing the turkey & the green bean casserole to my moms. I missed Thanksgiving at my moms last year, we were at the Cowboy game. BOOOO! We will also have some time off next week. We need it!
I cannot wait to decorate for Christmas. Is it time yet?

I have not been enjoying this cold weather and to think it will only get colder makes me kind of freak out inside. Whats wrong with me? Bleh!

Also, Ronnie has 1 more week and 2 days of treatment. Unfortunatly he's been having a hard time with the side effects. He has memory loss, he's always tired and sleeping, also feeling under the weather; which makes him irritable. He has been drinking supplement shakes, among other things; to help with his immune system. Its hard to see him this way. I really hope he gets back to normal soon. I cant wait to see him Thankgiving; hopefully he enjoys himself and eats a lot of yummy food.

I hope everyone has a Happy, Happy Thanksgiving. Im thankful for each and every one of you in my life!

Update on Ronnie

Ronnie started his first radiation treatment Monday; he will have to go Monday thru Friday for 3 1/2 weeks. He is doing better, the radiation however does make him tired, but it could be worse. The Dr. marked on his body with a permanent marker and stickers, he cannot take them off until radiation is done. I am happy to report somewhat good news. I am happy to say my brother is pretty much cancer free.

On another note, my grandma in Iowa fell and broke her hip; she is awaiting surgery. I hope she gets better soon and I want her to know I love her and am thinking of her.

Thanks to all for prayers and positive vibes

Halloween

He's so special

My pretty friend as a fortune teller (you should have seen everybodys face as she was telling fortunes; everybody took it so seriously... little did they know Taylor is not really a fortune teller)

Amy Winehouse (Taylors cool mom), muah and Taylor

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! We had lots of trick or treaters; we ran out of candy. RJ was dressed up as Wolfman scaring kiddos. He made at least 2 cry. We then went to my best friend; Taylors Halloween party; it was a blast. RJ was a sumo, however he left early, because his costume was deflating, I was again; Anna Rexia.

I would like to see any pics from family and friends of those who dressed up!

Fall is truly here!

It's 45 degrees outside. BUR! This morning has been the coldest yet, which means Fall is here. Lets just say the cold weather and I are not friends. At least it means the holidays are near, which I am looking forward to. I dont see how my family in Iowa and Canada do it; they are used to blizzards and what not. Whew; I will survive!!!

Race for the Cure

I participated for the first time in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Oct 18th and it was a really cool experiance. I will definatly do it again. My company sponsored the race and was a big hit. Our tent was decked out and made to look like a mini salon, red carpet and all. We had Toni & Guy silver star balloons and every child wanted one to hold. The crowd lined up for complimentary fringe trims/cuts and make-up touch-ups. I had a great time and most importantly I did it for a very dear cause. I was saddened reading all the names, in memory of, and walking for MOM , that was on a lot of people’s signs and T-Shirts, but I was also uplifted by all the support and enthusiasm everyone has shown towards this event!

Thank you for your donation; I am close to hitting my goal. You can donate until November 15th.
There will be more pictures to follow.

Ronnie

Ronnie's Dr. finally Monday with the results of his CT Scan and said there were no signs that the cancer has spread, however he still needs to see an oncologist to monitor him & go through radiation because CT Scans do not rule out microscopic cells. Also for the next 2 years he'll have to have regular CT Scans & tumor marker tests.
As of this point, we are very thankful that the cancer has not spread and we think he is now cancer free.

Thanks to everyone who prayed for him and sent him positive vibes!

October 18th

This Saturday is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I am so looking forward to it. Unfortunatly, I havent had anyone sign up to walk with me, however there are a few people from my work participating. I have to be at Northpark Center at 6:30am and the race will probably be over around 10ish. Ronnie really wanted to participate, but walking for a long period of time probably isnt a good idea. He got me a yellow, Livestrong bracelet to wear for him. My mom also got me a really pretty pink ribbon pin to wear on my shirt that day. I got my kit in the mail last Saturday, which had my t-shirt in it and my race number. I will try to take pictures that day. Visit my site if you'd like...

Thanks mom for your donation. I love you!!!

My brother's fight part 3

We found out yesterday that Ronnie's tumor is malignant, he has Seminoma cancer. He will be starting chemo and radiation as soon as the family can find a way to pay for the CT scan and everything. Of all the cancers he has; they say its the easiest to cure with the highest survival rate. But, we all know thats just statistics. We need to pray harder than ever that it hasnt spread to his lymphnotes. He is very scared. Ronnie does not have insurance, so I am trying to figure out if there is a way to start a charity for him. He's had a lot of friends come forth and share ideas on how he can get this taken care of with the state and what not. Please share any ideas or experiances you may of had with handeling something like this financially. I want to thank everyone who has been there for Ronnie and offered advice, support and love. We appreciate it so much! I know Ronnie will get through this battle, it just may be a long, emotional battle, but he will see it through; there is no doubt in my mind. Please keep him and the family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much!!!!

My brother cont. part 2

Today was surgery for Ronnie. The tumor has been removed. Now to see if its Non-Seminoma (benign) or Seminoma (malignant) and pray that it doesn't or hasn't spread. If its Seminoma, Ronnie will have to go through chemo and radiation. We will know this Friday or Monday! Let's hope for the best! Thank you for your continued support!

Need your support

Dear Friends and Family,

I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure® on Saturday, October 18, 2008 in the fight against breast cancer. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more we raise, the more the Dallas County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our own community and support the national search for a cure. Please join me in the fight by pledging in support of my participation in the Race or contributing generously to Komen Dallas. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund innovative outreach and awareness programs for the underserved in Dallas County and national breast cancer research. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make a donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. Any amount that you can give will help! I truly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.Thank you so much for your time and support in the fight against breast cancer! Every step counts!

Tomorrow my brother goes into surgery. My mom and I will be there by his side. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. I know it will go well. We will find out hopefully in one week, whether the cancer has spread or not. Thank you!

My brothers fight

Okay, I am ready. Recently my big brother Ronnie found a mass on one of his testicals. He's been to several Doctors and has had several tests in the last 2 weeks and the only conclusion is it could be testicular cancer. With cancers and other problems in this area they just remove the infected testi. Unable to determine if he infact does have cancer or not they are going to do just that and remove it, biopsy and do blood tests. He is only 35 years old and he has been going through a lot in the past few months. He is waiting to work out the details with his surgeon now and surgery will be in the next couple days for sure; at least by the middle of next week. I will keep everyone posted. For now please keep Ronnie and the family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much for your concern and support.

RJ & I's Wedding Day 07.07.07

Our wedding was the best a girl could ask for. It was damn near perfect, actually. RJ was very pleased with it; I was so excited to see his reaction with everything I had planned. He left it all up to me. We were so lucky to have all of our friends and family there, especially the ones who traveled a distance to get here. 7.7.7. ya'll

My Bridal Portraits April 14th, 2007

My friends were there to support me!

I was cold, running helped to warm me up

I’ll admit that it’s not easy to be spunky when it’s cold in the middle of April. Us Texans don’t do cold; so a flannel shirt and a hot chocolate were a must that day.

New

So, myspace was blocked at my work. This is no good. What will I do with myself? Oh, thats right... work!

I thought I'd start a blog to share my thoughts and what's going on in my life with friends and family. Hope you enjoy! Please subscribe to it... I will try to add something everyday. Whether its pictures or random things.
